Retailer Basics: All you need to know about Everyday deals from your favorite retailers

Check out our stores below to see their everyday deals and basic tips on shopping at their sites. This will give you a sense for the frequency and depth of their sales and promotions as well as make sure you’re always getting the most Mad Deal available.

    • Ann Taylor

      • anntaylor.com almost always offers free shipping when you spend $150 or more; it becomes a mad deal about 4 times per year when you get free shipping with no minimum.
      • Ann Taylor is a highly promotional company — this means they almost always offer some sort of sale or deal and you should always check Hipiti before you buy. My favorite is the 40% off everything sales they run at the beginning of each season — you can’t beat this discount on new inseason looks!

    • American Eagle

      • AEO has everyday standard free shipping when you spend $100 or more on their site; then about once a month they’ll have free shipping with no minimum for a weekend.
      • On promo codes, AEO tends to offer 20% off everything every couple of weeks, so if you can hold out for this, you’ll save a few bucks.

    • Anthropologie

      • Anthropologie is the sophisticated older sister of Urban Outfitters; they’re more high end and don’t offer quite as many sales — 25% off is about as good as it gets!
      • On the shipping front, the deal they offer is free shipping for over $75 spent — but again this is very infrequent — heck, they have great style, so they can get away with it!

    • Athleta

      • Like all the Gap family sites, Athleta offers Free Shipping when you spend $50 or more.
      • Twice a year they will have mega sales up to 70% off in December and July; the rest of the time, look for promotions up to 20%

    • Bare Escentuals

      • Like many beauty companies, Bare Escentual promotions are focused on the free gift — when you see this happening, you know it’s a great deal.
      • Generally, you have to pay for shipping, but returns can be made wherever the makeup is sold.

    • Bath & Body Works

      • Did you know Bath & Body Works puts its Scented Anti-Bacterial Hand Soap on sale pretty often? They typically offer 4 for $15 and 6 for $20. A MadDeal™ is when they offer 5 for $15 and 7 for $20.
      • Most of the time, Bath & Body Works offers Buy 3 Signature Body Collection Items, Get 2 Free. You know you’re getting a Mad Deal™ when they offer Buy 3, get 3 for Free.
